This painting is close to my heart. The model is my dearest friend who is in her darkest moments in her life at this time. My only vision in this painting is to experiment with textures which I love in paintings, and as I started painting this, I couldn’t help but to be in her shoes, I felt so empty and dead inside. I felt so sad that it started to come out in my painting. I think it’s a beautiful experience for the model and the artist when they can have this kind of connection. Somehow, we are all like this lady in red, we try our best to see light in every battle we go through, we may bleed but we will survive.

It is both inspired by Lady in Red and @edensheaven ‘s photo. Something beautiful but dark, peaceful but chaotic all at the same time is always my go to vibe in creating. I feel like this kind of painting represents me so well as an artist and a person.
